PSHE and Wellbeing

Our philosophy is ‘Happiness, harmony and success’ and we believe that ‘every child matters’. We structure our curriculum to give every child many opportunities to achieve the best possible outcomes, which will enable them to be self-confident, positive thinking and independent learners. Our PSHE curriculum is delivered through the ‘Jigsaw’ programme and it is designed to encourage children from all backgrounds to make a positive contribution to society and build positive, healthy, and safe relationships, and allow them to thrive in modern Britain.

We aim to foster respect for others, celebrate differences, and educate pupils about healthy lifestyles. We will teach children about the society that we live in and the different types of loving, healthy relationships that exist. This will be done in a respectful way which values different types of families. We want our children to be able to talk about their emotions and make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
